Wool Longies

So totally loving  L's new wool longies from Nikki at Rainedance. Nikki knits these amazing wool nappy covers to exactly the size you want in the wool you want, so you know they are one of a kind. The longies are used over a fitted nappy instead of a wrap and rely on the lanolin in the wool to act as a waterproof layer. As they are breathable, many parents find they are better for children with sensitive skin and they are way funkier than plastic pants. Nikki can be contacted via…

Littlelamb Nappy Wraps

I have been testing the Littlelamb nappy wraps on my dd (14 months ) for about 6 weeks now and I have to say that I am very impressed. They may not be the most beautiful wraps in the world, but they are certainly now my workhorse nappy cover.  They tick all my washable nappy wrap boxes: Soft and pliable, no stiff or scratchy bits Bombproof and believe me with the amount of teething that has been going on, we have had some very nasty nappies to deal with Deep leg gussets - I…

New Nappy Wraps

Just taken delivery of one of the brand new TotsBots wraps which we are testing out before deciding whether or not to stock. First impressions:  lovely bright pattern - (the Turnip one in orange). feels a little flimsy/lightweight?  Could just be that I am now so used to the heavier wraps.  The thinness could be an advantage though. Cross over tabs at the waist, so good for sizing. Fit is bigger than the Motherease. Have popped it on over an Eccobots nappy so will report back…

New Nappies!

In the interests of the Exeter cloth bots, we have be testing out lots of new nappies since Christmas and have found a new fav that we will be stocking from now on. On Reading Books and Nappy Demos

Yesterday was a busy old day for Lamb and me. We spent the first part of the morning hanging out at home and playing together. Her current favourite game is “reading” books - we spend hours with her sitting on my lap, turning one or two pages in a board book, looking very intently at the pictures. She talks to the pictures quite a lot and does seem to be listening to me when I point to parts of the page and describe what is happening. However what she seems most interested in is…

Babyccino today was full of lovely mummies and babies/children, all playing happily together while the grown ups drank coffee and ate biscuits. My kind of afternoon. Organic Wool Dryer Balls

I found these online and they look amazing - they are on the US Etsy site and hand made by a lovely mummy called Julia in Lynchburg, VA. They're used to help speed your drying time and soften your laundry (no chemical dryer sheets needed!) Julia suggests four balls in an average sized dryer, though you can use up to six. Apparently, they really, really speed up the drying time for cloth nappies, so could be great if we are really in for the cold.wet winter predicted. Depending on the…
