Hello Home Birth Group Supporters,
Thanks to Kate Curnock for leading a really useful and inspiring session all about the Practicalities of Homebirth this month. We spent some time focusing on partner’s experiences at home births, which is something we would like to regularly include.
It was also great to hear Lyndsey’s birth story. This is a part of our meetings that everyone values. If you have had your baby, please come along to share your story and don’t forget we would love to collect written stories to share too.
We meet next on Tuesday 12th November from 7.30pm to 9.00pm, at The Hub on the Green. Directions here: http://www.hubonthegreen.net/.
In November, we are sponsored by Arabella from www.naturalnursery.co.uk which specialises in real nappies and baby carriers. Arabella has been helping families to find the right nappies and slings for their family for nearly a decade and has plenty of first-hand experience of using them with her own family. Arabella is happy to advise on an individual or group basis and runs the Hub’s very own baby group, Babyccino with Joey Lee on Monday mornings, 10-noon, where you are welcome pop in for a coffee and a chat and will always find a friendly face.
Arabella also runs www.exeterbabyactivities.co.uk, the original local listings site for toddler groups, what’s on and family friendly news around Exeter.
Come along to find out more about real nappies and baby carriers as well as the usual chat about all things home birth.
Exeter Homebirth Group is a not-for-profit group, run by volunteers and we are very grateful for those of you who support us. There is no charge to come to the meetings but we welcome donations towards the running of the group and we ask for a deposit for books or DVDs borrowed from our library.
In December, it will be three years since Claire and Clare set up Exeter Homebirth Support Group. Clare Lowing is now stepping back from her Co-ordinator role. She and Claire Arnold are very grateful for all the support they receive with the running of the group and especially to the very lovely Alice Bardwell and Kate Curnock for coming forward to be involved in the Birth Pool hire and Finance stuff. Clare is looking forward to being at meetings whenever antenatal teaching allows.
If you have any queries, suggestions or offers of support for the group. please contact Claire Arnold on firstname.lastname@example.org.
Looking forward to seeing you on the 12th,
Claire, Clare, Kate & Alice
