Exeter Baby Activities

Exeter Baby Activities is run by me, Arabella, Devon born on-off resident of Exeter for many years.

I am mum to 2 cloth nappy’ed, babyworn girls aged 10 and nearly 2 years old.  We live in St Thomas with a variety of animals, some of whom actually enjoy being petted by small children.

In a past life I was a solicitor but have been running my business, The Natural Nursery, for over 8 years.

I just love cloth nappies and baby slings and have been happily spreading the fluffy love via demos in baby and toddler groups, sling meets, ante natal classes, breastfeeding support groups, shops, libraries, other people’s homes, my home and our shops since 2005.

Over the past 8 years, I have helped hundreds of parents find the right baby sling or cloth nappy for their family and many customers have turned into friends too.

Exeter Baby Activities is a really enjoyable project for me – it never ceases to amaze just what a wonderful, vibrant and beautiful city Exeter is and how lucky I am to be living here again.

This blog is the direct descendant of an almost identical website (and printed magazine) that I ran in Bristol, called Bristol Parents.  In fact, long-time readers of mine will recognise many of the articles on breastfeeding etc as being updated versions of stories that ran in the Bristol version.

When I moved back to Exeter 5 years ago, I found it hard to track down all the exciting activities that I just *knew* were happening for families with young children.  There were local sections on the national parenting sites but no purely local site, so I decided to reincarnate the hugely popular Bristol website.

Today, Exeter Baby Activities receives anything up to 1000 views a day and helps families all across the city find their local baby and toddler group, what’s on, family day out, local attraction or rainy day activity.

I hope you enjoy using the blog as much as I do running it.
