We get asked all the time, what is MamaCafe?
MamaCafe creates a nurturing space for mums to share common experiences, learn from each other and build friendships, from pregnancy through to baby’s first birthday.
We believe in a women’s innate ability to be a great mum and we support them to make gentle parenting choices such as baby wearing and co sleeping in a non-judgmental environment.
We meet on Wednesday mornings, for cake, tea and chat, supporting each other on our individual parenting journeys.
We have up to a dozen mums attending with their babies each week. Some weeks we have a craft activity, including sewing, cross stitch and crochet, other weeks we discuss a parenting topic and for others we have a guest expert who gives a short presentation and then stays to join in the conversation afterwards.
There is always plenty of cake, tea and supportive chat on tap.
Your first session is free, then it’s £5 per session (including craft materials, tea, cake etc) on a drop-in basis so you only pay for the weeks you attend.
MamaCafe Exeter is taking a break for a couple of months but will be back soon. In the meantime, friendly chat and support are available at Attachment Parenting Group.
