Please join us on the 1st of March for the Exeter 5k Buggy Push for the Oxfam Mother Appeal.
As a mum of two I know motherhood comes with its share of struggles and so I want to try and raise some money for this wonderful appeal, which is being backed by DFID pound for pound.
If you’d like to join in please meet us on Exeter Quay, in the covered area in front of The Prospect Inn, a little before 2pm. Then at 2pm we will all head off on a scenic 5k (3 mile) walk. Anyone who would like to can decorate their buggy- we will provide banners and balloons.
There is a £5 registration fee per buggy. You can also encourage friends and family to sponsor you.
Spread the word amongst all the parents you know- this will be a fun walk, and a good chance to meet other parents, as well as a good excuse to explore exeter quayside on a, hopefully sunny, Saturday afternoon, all whilst raising money for families around the world.

‘Mothers are some of the world’s most powerful people. They feed us, teach us and protect us. Most of all, they love us – unconditionally.
We know that mothers everywhere want the best for their children. But when every day is a struggle to feed their families, it takes almost superhuman strength to succeed. And yet, the world’s poorest mothers never give up.
By supporting Oxfam’s Mother Appeal, you will give mothers worldwide the lift they need to use their power to change the future.Because when we lift a mother she will not only lift herself. She will lift her family and her community, generation after generation.’
