Exeter Homebirth Group, May Meeting

Dear Homebirth Group Supporters,

This is just a quick reminder that our May meeting will be on Tues 13th May at Sylvania Hall. As usual, this meeting will be a good chance to ask any questions you may have about homebirth and hear from experienced homebirthers. We will also be hearing from Claire Thomas, a GP who runs Turtle Tots Exeter and East Devon, which offers pregnancy to playground swimming classes. Claire will be talking to us about the benefits of baby swimming and the importance of keeping babies active during their first year.

We always love to hear birth stories and welcome anyone to come along and share theirs with us.

Exeter Homebirth Group is a not-for-profit group, run by volunteers and we are very grateful for your support. We are considering many fundraising options but donations towards the running of the group are very much appreciated – we suggest £2 per person per meeting to include refreshments. This helps us to cover the cost of room hire and refreshments. We also ask for a returnable deposit of £5 when borrowing books or DVDs from our library.

We have birth pools for hire and we enjoy being able to offer this service. We now have three pools so have been able to reduce hire costs to £30 for 4 weeks (or until your baby arrives!) and this includes pool and inflate/deflate pump. Please contact Alice on alicebardwell@hotmail.com if you are interested in hiring a pool.

If anyone is interested in becoming involved in the running of the group, please let us know – many hands…etc! In the meantime, please contact Claire Arnold at c.e.arnold@hotmail.co.uk if you have any questions or comments regarding the group.

We look forward to seeing you on 13th, at 7.30pm.

Claire, Kate and Alice
