Halloween Fright Night at Shaldon Zoo
27th October, 5-7.30pm
A fun filled evening for all the family. Come dressed in your favourite costumes and get ready to prepare ghoulish grub for their nocturnal animals. Lots of fun and spooky stories in the weird woodland trail.
Tickets cost £5 per child/accompanying adult, £5 per additional adult.
Halloween Party at Twisted Oak, Ide
28th October, 4pm onwards
Kids fancy dress disco with prizes plus bring along your own carved pumpkins competition. Adult party starts at 8.30pm and goulish food specials and drinks on offer all day and night.
Halloween Mini Shoots, Cranbrook
22nd October, 10.30am-4.30pm
Crispin Photography are offering a fantastic deal of a spooky mini family photo shoot and 5 digital images which will be uploaded to an online gallery where you can download and purchase prints.
Costs £25 for a 15 minute slot for the whole family.
Halloween at Crealy
21st-29th October, 10am-5.30pm
Billed as their most spectacular event ever….
With Creaky Hotel, trick or treat with the Treehouse Trolls, 30,000 free pumpkins to carve (handed out during half term week) plus look out for Scooby Doo who will be making an appearance on 24th and 28th October.

Halloween at World of Country Life
23rd-29th October, 10am-5pm
A whole week of family Halloween fun including pumpkin carving, the Hallowe’en treasure trail, spooky arts & crafts. Special events include “Angus & the Witch” family Halloween Show up in the Barnyard Theatre on Friday 27th, Saturday 28th & Sunday 29th October.

With Halloween disco, prizes for best dressed, spooky games, witches’ lair and food included.

Storytime “Halloween Holler”
27th October, 11am-12noon
Central Library, Castle Street (meeting room 1)
Storytime with bestselling author Loreley Amiti. ‘Halloween Holler’ is a funny picture book about the cats and dogs of Exeter. A story about being brave and making new friends. For children aged 3+. Fancy dress optional.
Halloween Horrors at Paignton Zoo
21st-31st October, 10am-4.30pm
Lots of spooky fun including ghost train rides, spooky animal talks, Crocodile Swamp Discovery, daily at 11.15, bug talks and bug-eating challenges, daily at 12.45 p.m, Maned Wolf Talk, Monday & Friday at 3.30 p.m.
Plus – create your own ‘slime’ in our special slime workshops! Tuesday – Friday at 2.00 p.m., 2.20 p.m. & 2.40 p.m. -come along to the Education Centre to take part.

Snakes and Lanterns at Powderham

Halloween Spooktacular at Exeter Academy of Dance
Friday, 27th October 9.30-4.30. Book in advance.
Half Term fun. A one day course of dance, craft, games, face painting and a Halloween party for ages 4-12.
Fang-tastic family trail at A La Ronde
21st – 29th October, 10.30am-4.30pm
We’re going batty at A la Ronde, see if you can find your way past the tricks to win a treat! £2 per child, normal admission applies.
Lanterns and Hallowe’en at Topsham Museum
24th October, 10am-4pm
I don’t have many details yet but I do love Topsham museum – you can read about our last visit: Topsham Treasure Trail – family day out near Exeter
A Family Activity Day is planned on a Hallowe’en theme. Two sessions – either morning or afternoon. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Entry to the museum is free, I’ll let you know if there is a fee for the funday as soon as I find out.

Exeter Halloween Fun Run 2017
Thursday 26th October, 4.30pm – 7.30pm
Cowick Barton Playing Fields, Barton Road, Exeter EX2 9
Raising money for Age UK in Exeter – Clear Property’s charity Halloween fun run, keeps getting bigger and better!
In its third year, there is a 1k run suitable for toddlers and those under 6 and a new 3k course, for under 16s, with lots of frights and spooky goings-on along the way!
Halloween Night at Poltergeist House
Saturday 28th Oct – 5.30pm – 8pm, Poltimore House
Why not visit the scariest house in Devon and dare to knock at the door for your TRICK or TREAT? Meet the ‘Vampfylde’ family if they dare to join us and then enjoy some ‘ghoulish food’ in the cafe.
There are areas for ALL ages including small children. Caution: STROBE LIGHTING. Book online.
