We were only able to pop our head through the door and say hello yesterday as they were just closing up from their first day’s trading but we were so impressed with what we saw that we will be back very soon.
The old pub has been converted into a really pretty and welcoming cafe, with a light and airy feel, scrubbed wood tables, painted furniture and squashy sofas.
They serve a range of hot and cold drinks, lovely looking cakes and lunches – I will report back in more detail when I have sampled the wares.
They also have a pretty courtyard garden, allow dogs in and are most welcoming to families.
I think this is goinig to be very popular with walkers and cyclists alike – there were several bikes chained up outside when we went past and if the food is as good as it looks, people will make a special trip there too!
As far as I know, the opening hours are 10-5 every day but CLOSED on a Monday.
I wish them all the best in the their new venture!
